The First Baptist Church of Bath

Come and join in the worship and fellowship

of the Christians at the First Baptist Church of

Bath. This small but loving congregation displays

the patience of Job and the joy of the Lord as

they go about spreading the Good News of Jesus.

The church is now praying for God to send them a pastor. Their pastor resigned and they have been blessed with a number of men stepping up to fill the pulpit while they seek God's direction in getting a new pastor.

Bath, IL has a population of about 310 and is

located in Mason County. The county seat is

Havana which is about 7 miles away.

Starting as a mission from an area Baptist church in 2001, services were first held in the local Fire House/City Hall building. This little mission united in the Lord and held strong.

In June of 2007 they moved into the present building, where they still hold services today, and began the work towards independence.

Following the Lord's leading, they set out on their own to advance the Kingdom work of spreading the Good News of Jesus. They incorporaed as the First Baptist Church of Bath with the Illinois Secretary of State's office on March 6, 2008.
